Share your solar cooking experiences......

Today's Wild Game experience!

Hunting season is again at hand. We have a neighbor whose family registers for any and all hunts. They always harvest more than they can consume (we've been well stocked with winter meat for a few years now). Today I cooked an antelope roast!...a bit of fresh onion, garlic, and oregano. After 3 ½ hours it was perfectly tender and moist. Some of that antelope will make awesome jerky. Stay tuned.

Hunter's alert.........

Hunters ought to take a SunOven along for their expedition's base camp! How about fresh hot bread, or warm cookies....perhaps your favorite cake? It can also double as a cooler when packing for the trip.

Really yummy....Nick's Rosemary Bread....

Last week we participated in a farewell picnic for friends who have begun a really exciting adventure (two families moved to Costa Rica). That's a whole novel of its own!

Nick decided to bring his delicious rosemary bread. I altered his plan just slightly....we baked two loaves in our SunOven, at the the park! It went pretty good. We set up the SunOven at around 4:30, put the bread in at 5:00pm, and served it as fresh as bread can be at 5:45!
